R&D FRONTIER: INJECTION MEDICAL DEVICE GRADE HYALURONIC ACID

Release time:

It is a high-purity biomaterial commonly used as a viscoelastic supplement that can be injected into the joint cavity to relieve joint inflammation, reduce pain, and improve joint mobility.

Product Characteristic

Sodium hyaluronate is one of the important components of synovial fluid. This component has anti-bradykinin and anti-protease activities, which can effectively inhibit the excitation of the synovium and its underlying pain receptors and sensory fibers to relieve joint pain. After exogenous injection of sodium hyaluronate, it can cover the surface of articular cartilage, form a protective barrier, and reduce joint friction and pain.

Clinical Research

It can be seen from the table that the knee joint function scores and the scores of activities of daily living of the patients in the observation group after treatment are higher than those of the control group, which suggests that adding sodium hyaluronate injection to patients on the basis of conventional therapy can significantly improve knee joint function.

It can be seen from the table that the clinical effective rate of patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the recurrence rate was significantly lower than that in the control group.

Knee arthroscopic debridement is currently the main way to treat knee osteoarthritis in the elderly, but it cannot fundamentally cure it; sodium hyaluronate provides nutrients for cartilage tissue and synovial fluid, which greatly promotes the development and repair of cartilage tissue, and has the functions of lubrication, stress buffering and anti-infection, which improves the patient's therapeutic effect.

The results of the study showed that after treatment, compared with the patients in group A, the patients in group B had a higher total effective rate of treatment. The injection of sodium hyaluronate into the joint cavity of the patients could prevent the re-adhesion of the joint capsule, thereby reducing the pain in the joint cavity, inflammatory response. At the same time, sodium hyaluronate can regulate the extracellular fluid in the patient's joint cavity and have an anti-infectious effect on his joints.

What are the different effects of different molecular weights of sodium hyaluronate in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis?

Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a common chronic joint disease with an increasing prevalence among older adults, severely impacting quality of life. Sodium hyaluronate (SH), as a core component of synovial fluid, is a key drug in KOA treatment. However, different molecular weights of SH exhibit significant differences in efficacy and mechanism of action, directly affecting treatment options. This article focuses on interpreting its differentiating effects to provide a reference for clinical application. [Reference Interpretation: Figure 1]
